The DataSense unit of iSocial recently had a brief conversation with the Honorable Secretary, A.H.M. Shafiquzzaman, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Bangladesh (MoLE). Our research team asked him a few questions related to the recommendations from the বাংলাদেশ শ্রম সংস্কার কমিশন – Labour Reform Commission (LRC), his participation and discussions at the 113th Session of the International Labour Conference (ILC), social protection mechanism, and the gig economy of Bangladesh.

Mr. Shafiquzzaman shared his valuable insights, discussing existing policies as well as plans to amend laws and regulations to better support the workforce.
