DataSense has entered into a knowledge partnership with ILO Bangladesh to develop policy briefs and conduct social dialogues on wage setting mechanisms in the key economic sectors of Bangladesh. This project, “Sectoral Wage Dialogue And Sectoral And National Wage Brief For Bangladesh” focuses on promoting decent work in Bangladesh by strengthening social dialogue in wage-setting mechanisms. It aims to foster evidence-based, gender-responsive wage-setting processes across five priority sectors in the country. The initiative will engage key stakeholders, including government officials, employers, workers, development partners to address low pay, gender wage gaps, and inequalities.
Labour economy is one of the core working areas of DataSense and the team is excited to be able to contribute to the process of establishing decent work in Bangladesh’s economy for sustainable growth with equity.
